The Goal of this program is to present a vision and methods for the use of social networking in the workplace to efficiently & effectively accomplish the mission while managing the downside risks.  General principles will be presented. No specific providers will be promoted.
Overview
We are living living through an explosion of a new way of doing business through social networking systems.  Managers must understand SN tools, their benefits, their risks, and specific management issues to address, when leveraging the power of social networking.
Instructional Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
  • Explain what social networking is and hwo it is being used for business functions;
  • Explain the use of social networking for suporting telecommunitng;
  • Explain the benefits and risks to managing the modern workforce through social networking;
  • Describe incentives and performance requirements for managing social networking;
  • Log onto and develop a social networking group;
  • Create a follow-up plan for learning and/or using social networking to expand management and teamwork options.
Who Should Attend?
This class is a one-day orientation for managers, supervisors, project management, strategic planning, and HR specialists who are new to social networking methodologies.

All Positive Impact courses are highly interactive. Though not required, participants are encouraged to bring laptops and files to enable them to apply principles and methods to real live scenarios throughout the class.
